The world-famous Cape Romano Dome House is GONE!
Built in 1982, abandoned in 1994, and still on the beach in 2010 – the Dome Home has finally been taken to it’s watery grave by the waves of the Gulf of Mexico.
On September 28th, 2022, Category 4 Hurricane Ian desecrated SW Florida and destroyed the Cape Romano Dome House with 150mph winds and storm surge of 10-15 feet.
Although we no longer offer a Cape Romano Dome House boat tour, the domes and all our friends we’ve taken there over the years will remain in our memories forever.
RIP Dome Home!
Cape Romano
Dome House Boat Tour
Although the Dome Home is no longer standing, its story will never die. Hear and genuinely appreciate its unique and quirky story on any of our boat tours.
”Had a great trip with Captain Nate visiting the southern shores of Marco Island and part of the 10,000 Islands. We saw a manatee, white pelicans, and did some shelling on Second Chance sandbar. Very glad we got to visit the dome house off Romano point since it won't be there forever. Captain Nate is a very friendly and professional captain with great knowledge of the area.
