Marco Island sightseeing tour
There’s so much to see around Marco Island! Sightseeing is even more fun from the water than it is from land. With over 100 miles of waterways inside Marco, there are plenty of canals to explore.
Waterfront restaurants and Marco mansions
See the area from the water, enjoying every minute of your sightseeing cruise. Then, drifting only a few feet from the lanais of famous Marco mansions, we can share cheers with the rich and famous as they enjoy the golden hour. Later, music will flow over the water as we boat by waterfront tiki bars with bands playing and people dancing. Finally, diners will smile as the boat motors pass their dinner table on the water of Marco Islands’ best waterfront restaurants.
Beachfront hotels and vacationing beachgoers
After some time, we’ll be offshore on the beachfront of Marco Island. Next, your captain will point out where you are staying. For example, The JW Marriott, Marco Island Hilton, Marco Beach Ocean Resort, Marriott’s Crystal Shores, or other waterfront condominiums. In addition, South Marco beach, Resident’s Beach, and Tigertail beach. As we pass these Marco Island landmarks, all the beachgoers will wish they were you on the boat.
”We absolutely loved the Marco Island boat tour to the Dome House. Capt Nate pointed out a lot of wildlife to us. Birds, and even a new species of morphed bird (2 species that have recently cross-bred and created a new one!). He picked up a dolphin’s cue that it wanted to play and drove the boat alongside so it could race along with us and jump through our wake—which made for great videos! Capt Nate also spotted a turtle up on the surface of the water—it was huge, but we would never have seen it by ourselves, as they blend it. And he provided pictures of what the dome house originally looked like, along with a lot of info about it, which was really fun and exciting to experience. Thank you CAPT NATE!!! And thank you Viator for AGAIN providing a 5-star sightseeing excursion (this one through Florida Island Tours).

Gateway to the 10000 Islands
Marco is the largest and furthest north of the mangrove island chain called the Ten Thousand Islands. Are there 10000 islands? Nobody knows, as it is impossible to count them all. The number of islands changes daily as the tide goes in and out. In this case, there are more islands on high tide and fewer islands on low tide.
A boating adventure
First, our expert captains will impress you with their abilities to navigate the complex and remote maze of islands. Second, you’ll wonder if they are lost as you cruise through narrow mangrove tunnels and hidden backwater bays. Lastly, you’ll curiously ask how deep the water is only to find it is mere inches deep.
National wildlife refuge
Wildlife is everywhere in the mangroves. Some birds nest in rookeries in protected mangrove islands, while others look for their next dinner in the shallow waters of the mud flats and sandbars. Dolphins play in the waves and socialize together in their favorite bays. Manatees slowly graze on seagrasses on the shallow shoals. Spotted eagle stingrays leap into the air.
